Sophie Hines - Axis Tank B/C Cup Paper Sewing Pattern
This is a Preprinted Paper Sewing Pattern.
The Axis Tank is the ultimate comfortable bra. You can wear it alone, layered with another bra, or to sleep in. Worn with a shaped, supportive bra, the Axis Tank distributes tension around your torso, relieving tight spots and uncomfortable restriction. It’s just the thing to layer with sheer tops, and is a super comfortable option to wear under sweaters and layers. Two neckline options work with a range of clothing styles, and both options are available with or without beautiful geometric design lines, creating panels that can be used for color blocking or trim insertion.
Garment can be entirely constructed with a sewing machine, serger/overlocking machine optional. Techniques required include zig zag stitches, pinning + sewing curved seams, and understitching seam allowances.
Material Recommendations
Knit fabrics with 50-75% stretch, preferably with a spandex content. Bamboo, Rayon, or blends with Cotton, Lycra, Silk, Spandex, Nylon, Tencel. 100% cotton tends to stretch out quickly. Measure stretch by marking out 4” of fabric, then gently stretch to max.
